OUR STORY

FHP Consulting Engineers is based in Potchefstroom within the North West Province of South Africa. The original company was founded in 1956 as Fick, Hollenbach and Partners and although the founding members are not involved in the business any more, the current management team is proud of our heritage and company brand. We are currently a level 4 BEE business entity.

ACCREDITATION MEMBERSHIP

The Engineering Profession Act, 2000, (Act 46 of 2000) as well as other Acts, provide for the reservation of work of an engineering
nature for the exclusive performance by registered persons.

FHP Consulting Engineers comply with this requirement and have professionally registered staff employed as a full time
employees.

Completed Sanitation Projects

JB MARKS LOCAL MUNICIPALITY; IKAGENG PROPER SEWER UPGRADE PHASE D:

Ikageng Proper sewer upgrade is an ongoing project from 2015 and has benefitted over 2500 households by installing new midblock sewer pipes and manholes to enable the Municipality to better service the community.

IKAGENG EXT 11 EMERGENCY SEWER UPGRADE:

Ikageng Ext 11 main sewer line of about 4.6km needed to be upgraded, it inturn services around 3700 households in it's catchment area.

UPGRADING OF EXISTING MAIN WATER RETICULATION IN DOLIMITE AREA, DESIGN AND CONSRUCTION MANAGEMENT:

IKAGENG REV. PHETLHU STREET SINKHOLE:

A sinkhole that formed in Rev. Phetlhu Str. damaged the main waterpipe that supply the residents.  Upgrading the Municipal main water pipe to specifications needed to be done to old and leaking pipes. Construction needed to be done according to the Nasional standards required for Dolomite areas.

Completed Stormwater Projects

IKAGENG EXTENTION 11 FLOODLINE CANAL:

Ikageng Ext. 11 flood line canal is the main artery of storm water that accommodates the storm water of ext. 11, ext. 6 & ext. 2. The purpose for the upgrade was to shrink the floodline area to re-appropriate the flooded residential stands next to the floodline.

STORMWATER MASTER PLAN OF VENTERSDORP AND VILLAGES:

The purpose of Storm water management is based on the need to protect the health, welfare and safety of the public and to protect property from flood hazards by safely routing and discharging storm water from developments. This project entailed the concept design of a complete new storm water reticulation system for the greater Ventersdorp and surrounding villages to be used by the municipality as a planning tool for maintenance and new developments.

Completed Road & Pavement Projects

THABAZIMBI RURAL ROAD UPGRADE:

Kumba Iron Ore sponsored the upgrading of an 850m gravel road to a new pavement road that not only services the 95 stands in the cul-de-sac but also resolves the storm water problem by the means of a retention pond.

Other Completed Projects

REHABILITATION OF THABA THOLO RUNWAY & WEIR CONSTRUCTION FOR WATER RETENTION:

​

Thaba Tholo is a game breeding farm situated in the Lompopo provence. The existing gravel runway needed to be upgraded to accomodate wildlife transport.  Construction of the Weur was needed to give axcess to water for wildlife during the dry seasons.
